About me

Hi everyone! My name is Shruti. I am an Audiologist and Speech Pathologist from India. An audiologist is someone who deals with hearing disorders and a speech pathologist is someone who deals with speaking disorders (broad description). For a major part of my job profile, I work with children who were born deaf and have been implanted with cochlear implants to help them learn to listen and speak. For these therapy sessions, while I do sometimes use traditional teaching aids and story books, I also try to use some teaching aids which are sensory based and that the child would find interesting. I enjoy making these and love to showcase them on my YouTube channel. If you have time check out my channel here. Q: Do you sell the books?
A: Currently, I don't sell the books. This is just a hobby for me. I like to try out new projects which requires some amount of freedom in terms of time. Repeatedly working on the same project becomes monotonous and I feel I will eventually lose interest in it totally.

Q: Do you think you will sell books in future?
A: I have considered the option to sell. However, I might not do it the traditional way. I might explore new projects and then sell what I have made on etsy or something like that. I doubt if I will sell custom-made books as then I will have to do repeat projects.

Q: Do you have any tutorials to learn how to make the books?
A: Yes, Please check out my Youtube channel. There are several tutorials on the channel for different big and small sensory toys. More will be uploaded as and when I make them.
